Who we are

Stylish Cuts Barbershop operates at 6838 W 95th St, Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453. This policy explains how we handle information collected through stylishbarbers.com, our booking system, and our text messaging programs.

Information we collect

• Your full name, mobile number, language choice, selected barber, requested service, date, and time.
• Your appointment status, cancellations, rescheduling activity, and messages connected to a booking.
• Your separate choices for appointment texts and promotional texts, including the exact disclosure shown, timestamp, source page, and technical records used to document consent.
• Limited device, browser, IP, and security information used to prevent spam, rate-limit OTP requests, diagnose failures, and protect the service.
• Anonymous website usage statistics through Google Analytics, such as pages visited and general location, used to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics does not receive your name, phone number, or appointment details.
• Message delivery and opt-out status returned by our messaging provider.

How we use it

We use this information to verify your mobile number, show accurate availability, create and manage appointment requests, notify the selected barber and owner, send status updates and reminders, prevent double-booking and abuse, keep required business records, and respond to support requests.

We send deals, discounts, or other promotional texts only when you separately choose the optional marketing checkbox. You can book without agreeing to marketing.

SMS privacy

We do not sell your personal information. Mobile numbers, SMS opt-in records, and consent data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We use service providers only to operate the website, database, security controls, and text delivery. Those providers process information for Stylish Cuts under their own security and privacy obligations. Cloudflare hosts the website and booking database. Appointment and account texts are sent through an Android SMS gateway on a shop-controlled device. Telnyx remains configured as a dormant backup and is not the active text provider.

How long we keep it

OTP codes expire after 10 minutes and are stored only as one-way hashes. Expired OTP challenges are removed on a short schedule. Security and rate-limit records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to prevent abuse. Booking, consent, opt-out, and message audit records may be retained for up to four years after the last relevant interaction so we can honor preferences, resolve disputes, and document consent. We may keep records longer when required by law.

Your choices

• Reply STOP to end texts from our messaging number. Reply START to opt back in where supported.
• Reply HELP for assistance.
• Use the link in an appointment message to cancel or request a different time.
• Ask us to access, correct, or delete information associated with your mobile number. We may retain limited records required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or proof of consent and opt-out.

Children

The online form is not directed to children under 13. A parent or legal guardian should make and manage a minor's appointment and provide the contact number used for texts.

Security and changes

We use access controls, encryption, one-time links, rate limits, and data minimization intended to protect booking information. No online system can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above will change when we make a material update.
